The association “Cap for Handicap” represents an original “grassroots” civic initiative initiated by persons with disabilities (PWD) – users of mechanical and electrical orthopaedic aids in order to improve their own position. In this sense, the Association was created as a social reaction to unfavorable legislation in Serbia, which provides the replacement of orthopaedic aids in very long terms (3-6 years depending on the disability), compared to significantly shorter terms in the EU.

Requirement

An organization with such noble goals did not deserve to be marginalized, whether in real or online space. We wanted to give the existing website a new look, so that it could better communicate with all interested parties, whether the users of aids, donors or the widest possible audience.

The creation of the logo and the redesign of the website went in parallel, and our greatest desire was to include as many new and useful functionalities as possible, as well as to simplify the user experience for all website visitors.

The logo is the first thing by which all organizations and brands are recognized. With the “Cap for Handicap” organization, the cap is only a part of a huge humanitarian enterprise that still has a person at its center. Whether it is a person with special needs or just a person who can and wants to give.

The website got a new look, but we also paid special attention to the availability of useful information. The focus is still on the Cap for Handicap campaign, so we made it easier to access the most important information about the campaign – where and who to contact and collect caps.

Also, visitors would more easily get the necessary information about actions and special projects of the organization

It was very important to enable growth in searches on mobile devices and tablets and use Cep for Handicap’s own potential. That’s why we paid special attention to the responsiveness of the new site. The users should not lose a single part of the image or information using different devices.
